ROLE:
Our client is looking for a technical writer to join its content development team in Ireland. You will be part of an international team that works closely with the software developers and architects. The team atmosphere is open and communicative where each team member must be able to work in a flexible manner, both independently and as part of the group.
The company offers thorough training for all relevant areas. Your training will cover business and software basics, as well as the technical and documentation-related aspects relevant for your job. Tasks include:
- Using software specifications to create system documentation
- Describing application installation and configuration
- Writing on-screen texts for Web applications
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS:
- A good university degree in technical writing, a related field, or a language-based university degree
- The ability to grasp complex subject material and present it in a clear way
- Sense of commitment and responsibility, and an ability to work to tight deadlines
- Excellent communication skills with English as a native language (good knowledge of German is an advantage)
- Sound knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Willingness to travel for training purposes
- Practical experience of technical writing and a knowledge of XML authoring are an advantage
