The SMB Telesales Representative will be working within a European Team and be responsible for converting sales leads (primarily outbound qualified leads) into revenue generating sales through the encouragement of the use of our internet payment service most suited to the client’s business. The SMB Representative is seen as a product expert, The Representative will work under general supervision but will have a certain degree of creativity and latitude.
Work to daily, weekly and monthly targets while maintaining a positive attitude
Meet or exceed all published standards measured weekly, monthly and YTD
Follow up on qualified leads (provided by lead generators) turning them into sales opportunities and signing up those Merchants interested in using our e-service as a partner. This will involve directing potential clients through the sign up and implementation steps most suitable to close the sale.
Responsible for providing reports on activity.
Perform other job related duties as required.
Identify and pursue new opportunities in order to fulfil challenging targets which will include cold calling and prospecting.
Maintain and promote a positive and professional attitude while building collaborative relationships among potential and existing colleagues.
Liaise with the Merchant Account Management team regarding customers that have signed up for our product.
Be involved in training and mentoring of other team members.
Research market trends, opportunities and competition to support sales pitch delivery
Develop scripting and support materials as assigned.
Continue training and education to keep pace with product modifications, industry changes and sales knowledge. Participate in special projects (as needed) and perform other duties as assigned to contribute to overall sales and team results.
Self-motivated and target-driven.
Good organisation and communication skills.
Previous sales experience an advantage.
Basic computer skills such as MS outlook and windows as well as typing skills.
Ability to navigate corporate structures to identify decision makers and determine buying process.
Ability to learn and think quickly.

ExperienceA minimum of four years experience in one or more of the following areas a plus: internet company, financial institution, payments processor or telemarketing firm.Experience using Microsoft Office products including: Visio, Web Accept, Excel, Word, Access, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
Experience using an SFA system such as Gold Mine, ACT, Siebel or SalesForce.com also a plus.Excellent oral and written communication skills.Fluent in English and German.
Proven experience in a team environment.
Proven and strong Inbound / outbound telesales experience within a high volume targeted environment.
